GoalsOur primary goal is to create an ethno botanic education and research center, The Morona Reserve, where the people from many cultures can cross-pollinate each other's creativity to create a new worldview that encompasses both the ancestral and the modern worlds. In addition we will build and maintain a small health clinic and combine traditional herbal remedies with modern medical treatments for the people and will be a space for learning about health, nutrition and sanitation. All of the buildings will be built in traditional Shuar architecture and maintained by the local people. With this cultural center a low-level, sustainable, income source could begin to develop and with it the resources to protect the health, lifestyles and future for the indigenous communities.
